45th Annual Cathedral of the Risen Christ Art Show

You are invited to apply for the 45th Annual Cathedral of the Risen Christ Art Show and Sale scheduled for October12-16, 2011.   There will be activities and events celebrating the past, present, and future the Cathedral Art Show and Sale at this 45th anniversary.  We invite you to be a part of this celebration.

The show is a juried show limited to original art or their reproductions, all of which must be for sale. If you are a returning artist, welcome back, we encourage you to include new designs as well as the reliable ones from the past to keep the art show fresh and exciting.   If you are new to the Cathedral Art Show and Sale please consider applying.  In the past artists have found it beneficial to include art pieces in a variety of prices to appeal to the variety of clientele the show attracts.

The show is located at the Cathedral of the Risen Christ, 3500 Sheridan Blvd., Lincoln NE., lower level which is accessible by elevator. This area is spacious and aesthetically inviting for artists and clientele.  The publicity, management and sales of the show are the responsibility of the Cathedral Art Show Committee.   Artists are invited to attend the show whenever they can.

Consignment ratio is 70% artist and 30% Cathedral of the Risen Christ. The $50.00 entry fee is for a wall space approximately (6’ x 8’), a table space equivalent to one 8’ x 30” table or floor space. The Art Show Committee will display table art and floor art.  You are invited to hang your wall art.

Please return your application, Hold Harmless Form, current photo(s) of your work, an updated biography, and your non-refundable entry fee by June 1, 2011 to the address on the application form.  Photos are needed for the Jury Committee and cannot be returned. Space in the show cannot be guaranteed for applications returned after July 1.

The Cathedral Art Show Jurying Committee will determine selections during July, 2011.  Art selections will be based on providing a variety of quality art that will appeal to the show’s clientele.  If you are not selected, your entry fee will be returned and you will be notified by a letter of the committee’s decision.

 If selected for the show you will receive a packet of materials the middle of September and an assigned check-in time for either Sunday, October 9 OR Monday, October 10.
