Past public arts highlights have included the 71 Tour de Lincoln bicycles that stole Lincolnites' hearts in 2003 and the comprehensive registry of the city's art collection through a Nebraska Arts Council grant. The council is currently considering options for a 2006 public arts program and is actively working with the city to develop a comprehensive public arts plan for the future.
