National Arts Program Exhibit

ARTSBlog by Beckie Enyeart - And so the time has come… The National Arts Program Exhibit time! Every year about this time Lincoln gets to see how creative The City of Lincoln employees and their families are!

As the coordinator of the program for the last two years I’ve loaded up the back of my car with so much artwork I think my vehicle has stretched. I didn’t know the amount of stuff I 've gotten in  there was possible.

As the coordinator of The National Arts Program here in Nebraska I’ve had the honor to hang the creations that the employees and their families have lovingly slaved over. The presentation of there art  has been in my hands!

I’ve spent days loading, unloading, arranging, and running up and down ladders. I’m pretty tired. However this is ignored when I get to the best part, when I get to step back after I’ve hung all the art work and see what has been created. This exhibition has been months in the planning, and now it’s finally here, in its rightful place for all to see. But don’t take my word for it! Go the Lincoln Public Libraries and see for yourself!

Special Thanks

In 2009 the Lincoln Arts Council received a generous gift from the estate of Ken Good, a portion of which was used to redevelop our website and establish an endowment. We offer our heart-felt thanks to Kenneth J. Good for his generosity and vision for a beautiful future.
