Glass Quilts at the International Quilt Study Center

A collaborative glass mosaic project between Carrie Strope and the art students of Clinton Elementary will be on display during the week of Apr 30-May 7th with an opening reception from 4:30-7:00pm May 3.

Dichroic Jewelry Class

Learn how to layer dichroic jewelry to make gorgeous, sparkly jewelry. Make 15-20 pieces. March 7th or 21st

Intro to Glass Fusing and Slumping

Six week course held at the LUX focusing on creating fused glass artwork: sun catchers, jewelry/magnet pieces, tiles, plates.

Beginning Kiln Casting Class

In this introductory kiln casting class, we will learn the steps in making a sculptural art glass piece using a one time use plaster mold to create a unique sculpture in clear glass.

Quilting with Fused Glass Class

In this class, learn to "quilt" and create an instant heirloom of four 4" quilt block tiles, which you can fire separately as coasters, or combine to make an 8" x 8" quilt plate.

Layered Fused Glass Painting/Sculpture Class

In this class, we will create a three dimensional glass layered "painting" using fusible glass, powders, stringers, and enamel paints.

Fused Glass Jewelry Class

Have you ever wanted to learn how to make glass pendants, slide beads, and bracelets? In this class, you will explore dichroic glass, basic wire-wrapping techniques, glass paints and decals.

Calyx Glass Open Studio - Oct 17 10am-5pm

Come join artist Carrie Strope as she demonstrates fused glass techniques and explains how fused glass pieces are made. Drop in all day to make your own fused glass snowflake ornament!

Soldered Pendant and Jewelry Class

Learn to make personalized, decorative, keepsake lead-free soldered glass jewelry pendants in this afternoon class. Students will encase an image or decorative paper in glass utilizing the stained glass copper foil technique. We will experiment with addin
