The Mayor’s Arts Awards is a gala event, a celebration of the arts, to formally honor contributions and achievements in the Lincoln community. The Mayor's Arts Awards ceremony will recognize the 2011 Awards recipients on June 8, 2011 at the Lied Center for Performing Arts.

Mayor's Arts Awards: Mission Accomplished!

The 2011 Mayor's Arts Awards were presented on June 8th at the Lied Center. Over 350 people celebrated the arts in Lincoln and the people who make it possible. We had a great time, a fine meal and watched the Mayor show off his acting skills on our video. It was great fun, but we're encouraging him to keep his day job.

Thanks to our sponsors and all the people who helped to make it such a great event. Don't forget we'll be looking for your input next year as usual on the artists and art patrons who stand out as exceptional.

Each year the community nominates candidates for the Mayor's Arts Awards and a panel of arts professionals chooses the worthy reciepients of each award from those nominated. It's a tough job! We are pleased to present this year's exceptional group of recipients.
