Artist Bio:

I am a Geological engineer whose love affair with fine gemstones caused a major course change to becoming a fine jeweler. I learned to cut gemstones when I was 15 and it went from there. By the time I was 20 I started to take silversmithing courses along with my Geology. In my early 20's I apprenticed for 2 years at Motiff Manufacturing in Detroit and then under Robert F Bullard (MFA Cranbrook) for a year. By 1987, I was 1st runner up for "New Designer of the Year" by the Jewelers of America at their summer show in New York City. From that point on the rest is history.

Artist Statement:

Each piece of jewelry that I create is a miniature sculpture designed and made to be worn. Because of my passion for color, I start with the gemstone and make it the focal point of my creation. The piece is created around the gemstone to compliment it and enhance it . I prefer clean, uncluttered and finished as my look.
