Artist Bio:

I grew up on the Black Hills of South Dakota, attended South Dakota State University and represented the state in the 1971 Miss America Pageant in which a large painting of an eagle was part of my talent presentation. I took a 30 year break from my art until 3 years ago when I decided to dedicate myself to pursuing an art career. I love nature and wildlife and that comes out in my art. I have done oil and acrylic paintings but have switched almost entirely to pastels.

Artist Statement:

Pastel paintings are all on pastel paper and framed and matted. I specialize in landscapes and wildlife.
