Artist Bio:

Andy lived in Austin TX and worked as a computer programmer since 1981; he painted as a hobby. But his dream was to someday combine seeing the US with selling his art. After his wife was diagnosed with breast cancer in '05, and underwent successful treatment, they realized that Someday requires planning and action, and simply waiting and hoping is neither. As of May ’09, they are now working in the art business full-time, and loving it!

Artist Statement:

I set out to develop a style that is original, recognizable & exciting. I desired to create very colorful art & wanted to vary the color across my paintings in different areas which are distinctly defined. The main subject is overlaid by a set of carefully designed lines. The primary function of these lines is to define various sections to be dominated by different colors. The lines are carefully designed to both aesthetically enhance the piece as well as to play on the subjects characteristics.
