Artist Bio:

Photography became an increasingly important part of my life. Growing up, I had access to a darkroom in the house. My interest in the natural realm developed as a extension of living in the spectacular Utah environment. For more than 40 years I have pursued creative natural image photography as an expression of emotion and seeking understanding of my perception I find in nature. The advent of color digital printing brings a special joy to be able to create truly archival color photographs on fine, natural fiber papers of heirloom quality.

Artist Statement:

I emphasize natural surrealism while engaging the emotions evoked by the natural realm, especially the mystery or magical essence of light-play in the world. My pictures emerge through imagination and experience with the interaction between light and subject supported by a keen interest in natural history. I personally make all of my photographs and create individual, archival color pigment prints. Finishing my work includes museum mattes and solid natural hardwood frames.
