Artist Bio:
Growing up on a farm in Nebraska heightened my appreciation of nature, instilled in me a compelling work ethic and with that; I feel a sense of fulfillment to create art with products from the earth. I found my passion for metal during a silversmithing class and was further inspired with a lapidary class, learning stone cutting and polishing techniques. From there, it became an adventure with an infinite myriad of possibilities with precious metals, slabs of stone and individual pearls.
Artist Statement:
My jewelry designs flow from my imagination and evolve from raw materials into art. Sterling silver is manipulated, formed, soldered, drilled and impressed with designs, and is united with hand selected, one-of-a-kind exotic and traditional stones, gems and pearls. Several of my distinctive designs are created from unique materials not commonly used for jewelry. My designs span from simplistic to eclectic and from classic to contemporary.
