Artist Bio:

I am a full time artist, with a background of printmaking (etchings) and many years as a Hallmark artist. My work combines the subtleties and strengths of both. I acquired a love of color and graphic design while at Hallmark and employ this in my jewelry work. I like to set off a complex design with a simple shape to "frame" it visually. All pieces are kiln fired.

Artist Statement:

My contemporary fused glass designs are influenced by the the color and geometry in nature. I enjoy the reflective and textural qualities of the glass, iridescent and dichroic, set off graphically. Many pieces are fused, then shaped, and set off on another background to "frame" the piece. I love clean sharp beveled edges. I often finish my designs off with a both functional and aesthetic sterling spiral, usually used as a bail.
