Artist Bio:

We work as a team in our glass studio north of Emporia, KS and have collaborated for over 25 years on a wide variety of hand blown glass forms, both functional and decorative. We have vases, bowls, tumblers, paperweights, candles, ornaments, and other fun items, like pumpkins and cowboy hats. Our pieces are colorful, cheerful, and affordable, and are intended to enhance the quality of life of our friends and customers.

Artist Statement:

We work as a team in our glass studio collaborating on a series of objects that contrasts a rich interior color and an exterior "impressionistic" color field surface treatment by layering transparent colors on the blowpipe with an opaque white glass "canvas". The color field on each exterior is enhanced by trailing very thin clear glass wraps and finely finished with a contrasting lip wrap. Our pieces are designed to be functional and are beautiful as display pieces.
