Artist Bio:

I've been a weaver, spinner, dragon lady, doll maker, pattern designer, rusty junk collector, teacher and writer for the past 35 years. Originally from Lincoln and a resident artist at The Burkholder Project for 14 years, we now live in Des Moines, IA., where I teach children's classes at the Des Moines Art Center.

Artist Statement:

I have been a fiber art doll artist for over 30 years but have recently started adding found object metal and wood pieces to my work. This unexpected combination has moved my designing into a new realm of exciting opportunities. Instead of visualizing the finished piece before I begin I am now playing with the "what if" process of creating.
