Clay

Artist Bio:

I have been in the Lincoln area since 1984 teaching Ceramics and sculpture at Doane college in Crete. In 2009 I retired from Doane and am pursuing my pottery on a regular basis as well as building kilns that use waste oil as a fuel source.

Artist Statement:

Using a whitish, hi-fire stoneware clay as my backdrop, I decorate this functional ware with very colorful palette of glazes and stains which are fired in a reduction kiln to cone 10. All work is food safe.
