Michael Holmes utilizes the unique processes of acrylilc painting to create highly textured works with very vibrant colors and loose interpreted images.

Artist Statement:

My paintings are created with lightweight modeling paste as a base followed by free hand sketch of the image for the piece. After the paste dries the piece is covered in black gesso, dries and then painted with high viscosity acrylic paints then sprayed with UV protectant gloss acylic coating then lines are cut in with black paint and end with 2 more coats of UV gloss acylic coatings.
