Artist Bio:
I am a self-taught artist from the Glacier Lakes area of South Dakota. My studio is located in a 100 year old farmhouse that I have slowly been remodeling. I have spent the past 16 years traveling coast to coast, participating in art shows and creating and improving my art form. I love raising chickens and home schooling my 2 children.
Artist Statement:
I hand cut and polish each stone used in my pieces. This allows me to use rare materials and to get exactly what I want from the rough, stone slabs. I then cold-forge and sculpt it with silver or gold to create a one-of-a-kind piece. I also create "Art Jewelry" where I take my digital artwork and adhere it to sheet silver. I then cut it, file it, and punch it. Then the artwork is coated and cured with a 2 part resin to protect and seal it. The finished result is a piece of wearable art.
