Meadowlark's Free Mini-Concerts on the Green
Posted by: Lincoln Arts Council
Free mini-concerts on the Green at the Sheldon Museum of Art!
Kids will be able to dance and swing to the Latin sounds of the Dali String Quartet and the amazing percussionist, Orlando Cotto, playing a program of Latin American music that blends both classical and popular music from south of the border selected by our Guest Composer/Arranger Ricardo Lorenz. Mr. Lorenz will delight us by conducting the group, as well as share stories about the music you will hear.
Everyone will have the opportunity to tour the Sheldon's exciting and colorful exhibit of Cuban art lead by the museum's delightful docents. Outside, the kids will be able to express their own creativity by making a variety of percussion instruments and Cuban-style masks then munch a yummy lunch under the trees in the sculpture garden.
