Cathedral of Risen Christ Call for Artists
Posted by: Lincoln Arts Council
As an outstanding Artist, you are cordially invited to submit your art for consideration in the 44th annual Cathedral Art Show and Sale, September 15-19, 2010. Last year was a very successful show. We had 68 artists, of which 23 were first time prsenters. Once again this will be a juried art show and an Art Committee will make the selections. Please submit a photograph of your work for the committee review. We will keep the photo on file, so we are not able to return the photo.
The show is limited to original art or reproduction, which must be for sale. If you are a returning artist we ask that you bring new disigns as well, to keep the art show fresh and exciting. The Art Show will be held in the spacious lower level of the Cathedral of the Risen Christ, accessible by elevator and/or stairs, 3500 Sheridan Blvd., Lincoln NE. Members of the Cathedral parish will be present to run the show. Artists are welcome to attend as little or as much as they would like--our guests always enjoy visiting with the artists.
Consignment is on the basis of 70% to the artist and 30% to the Cathedral of the Risen Christ. The entry fee for artists is $50.00. You will have a wall space approximately (6' x 8') or a table space equivalent to one 8' x 30" table. Our Art Show Committee will display all table art. Your art wil be displayed in conjunction with other art entries.
Please return the enclosed application form, photo of your work and your $50.00 entry fee ASAP if you are interested in participating in the show. Spaces fill quickly so return your application as soon as possible. Space in the show cannot be guaranteed for applications returned after June 1. Our Art Show Committee will determine selection by June 1, 2010. If you are not selected, your entry fee will be returned to you. You will be sent a letter notifying you of the committee's decision.
