35th Annual Mayor's Arts Awards

2013 Mayor's Arts AwardsWhat a terrific group of people!

They have changed the arts landscape of Lincoln, and now it's time to recognize their gifts to the city. Tickets are now on sale for the 2013 Mayor's Arts Awards. Join us onstage at the Lied Center for Performing Arts on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, as we celebrate the contributions and achievements of the Lincoln Arts Community. The event begins at 5:30 pm with a reception, fabulous meal catered by the Venue, and cash bar. The awards ceremony begins at 7:15 pm.

Celebrate! 2013 Mayor's Arts Awards winners

2013 Mayor's Arts AwardsMayor Chris Beutler and the Lincoln Arts Council (LAC) have announced the winners of the 2013 Mayor's Arts Awards, which will be presented the evening of Wednesday, June 12 at the Lied Center for Performing Arts. The awards formally recognize artistic contributions and achievements in the Lincoln area.

Invitations will be sent in April. More information is available at artscene.org. Event sponsors for 2013 include James C. and Rhonda Seacrest Foundation. Video sponsors are US Property and Grand Manse, Liberty First Credit Union and Jerry & Annette Hall. Additional sponsorship opportunities are still available.

Lincoln Arts Council announces two special Mayor's Arts Awards available to emerging artists and writers working in Lincoln, Nebraska. These awards are funded by the Richard P. Kimmel and Laurine Kimmel Charitable Foundation, Inc. Begun in 2009, the Lincoln Mayor's Kimmel Foundation Award includes a two-week residency at the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts in Nebraska City and a $1000 stipend. Awards will go to one emerging visual artist and one emerging writer. Only emerging artists working in Lincoln, Nebraska, through year-end 2013 will be considered for this year's award.
