Act a Lady

act a ladyNebraska Repertory Theatre presents: Act a Lady, written by Jordan Harrison. It's 1927, in Prohibition-era Wattlesburg, a very small Midwestern town, and the men folk are going to raise money for the Elks by doing a play... a play in which they all dress up in "fancy-type, women-type clothes." As rehearsals begin, everyone involved in the play, men and women, are changed.

This is an exuberant comedy and thoughtful fable of how theatre can reveal people to be more than they could have imagined.
