  • Great Plains Chamber Winds
    Great Plains Chamber Winds is an experienced, dedicated group of professional musicians from Lincoln, Nebraska. The instrumentation of our group is based on the classical wind quintet: flute, oboe, clarinet, horn, and bassoon, but GPCW performs on occasion with larger or smaller groups, and occasionally with other instruments. We perform classical music from all eras from medieval to contemporary, as well as some lighter, popular, and seasonal music.     The Lincoln Association for Traditional Arts (LAFTA) is a non-profit organization. Our mission is to preserve and promote folk and traditional music, dance and related arts in the Lincoln area.

    LAFTA is the only local organization that is specifically dedicated to bringing well-known traditional musicians and highly respected contemporary folk performers to the Lincoln area. The association also sponsors events that feature local musicians, songwriters, folk dancers and storytellers.

    We seek to provide reasonably priced concerts that are family-friendly, fully accessible and in smoke-free environments. House Concerts and Contra Dances are also part of our regular schedule.

    Lincoln Organ Showcase is a standing committee of the Lincoln Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. Its purpose is to promote appreciation and enjoyment of the pipe organ and its literature. LOS co-sponsors concerts featuring the organ in Lincoln churches and institutions of higher education. The series also offers support for organ recitals within church-sponsored series, and strives to offer educational opportunities for young piano and organ students.
